A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Story:

There was always something magical about the Edelbrook cafe. When you visited Cocoa Acres as a child, the little township captured your heart but it was the small cafe that consumed most of your time with your friend Levi. In adulthood, much like Levi, the cafe you held so dearly in your heart had become but a distant memory. That is, until Mr. Edelbrooks daughter contacts you leaving the cafe in your hands after her father's passing.

The mysterious Roc-Cocoa Cafe is also headed by a handsome man named Levi who becomes your bitter-sweet rival.

Controls:

- [WASD], Arrow keys to move

- [E] or [Space] or Left Mouse to Interact

- [Q] or Right Mouse to use tools 

- Click & drag inventory around

- Right click to break apart inventory stacks

- [1-7] swap inventory slots

- [<>] or Scroll Wheel to swap tools

while controller and keyboard are partially functional, many UI elements require mouse at this time.

FarmJam 2024:

This game was developed for FarmJam 2024 in 1 month and all art, coding and design were done entirely from scratch by one person (including the dialogue system RIP me). Because of this, the game has many bugs, issues and content that I wish to expand up. You will encounter bugs as I was working on this until the very last minute!

- Basic Crafting

- Rival system 

- Editable Character Appearances

- Working time system, Day / night cycle


Future Plans - Features I did not get in on time:

- Flavour tool

- Seasons & Events

- Naming your Cafe, Birthday, Pronouns

- Romance, Marriage and friendship & NPC schedules

- Expansion of the town map

- controller & keyboard inventory functionality

- Music during cutscenes, more sound effects

- Fix UI hierarchy and User experience (Name Box etc) + proper HUD / Menu


Known Bugs:

- Save / Load system and several menus likely won't work fully if at all

- Shops do not have item names

- Certain menus can be opened multiple times / you can move during them

- The visual sort order of items and collision are not functional, player will appear behind random things when they should be on top

- Some controls need tightening, and some things feel janky

- Trying to swap items with an empty inventory will keep the image around

- I have no idea if time works as intended, you may encounter breaking bugs. I'll test and fix more in the next few days. My apologies

Hi! It's a systems prototype for a gamejam, not a full game release :) It's endless so you can play as much or little as you want

When itch emailed me about a NEW PaperTsubaki release I jumped up in excitement!! Your art looks stellar here! I can't wait to dive in ^_^ I'll wait a couple days for bugfixes but I am super excited!

Please view above for future plans & known bugs before sharing your bugs or suggestions! This was such a blast to make in a month, but holy cannoli, it was a handful! 

I was a one-woman team who made this game in one month,  and I made all art assets, code and design from scratch (+ Brightbone as my composer). I definitely pushed myself to my utmost limits timewise, so please treat this like a prototype rather than a polished game. You will encounter bugs and poor QoL in places, those are things I will be fixing in the days to come.
